Founded by Tania Soderman, as a private rescue in 2015, Sonoma Rescue and Sanctuary has gradually grown over the years, and became an official non profit in 2023.

The Rescue and Sanctuary is located in the picturesque town of Sonoma CA, and is a refuge for smaller farm animals. 

The sanctuary is run day to day by Tania Soderman and volunteers.

 

Our mission is to rescue and provide animals with a sanctuary where they can retire and live out their life in a loving and safe environment.

We take in smaller farm animals that have been abused, saved from the dining table, or "lost their value to the passage of time” - offering them a community where healing is done with the help of their fellow residents, veterinarians and our volunteers and patrons.
